Original Adjustment Socks® KIDS serve as a therapeutic aid for relieving leg spasticity in DMO, for cramped and crooked toes and other leg deformities. They are mainly used as a supplement to active exercise and physiotherapy. Thanks to the special separators between the toes, the blood circulation is accelerated and thus the regeneration of the feet is also accelerated. Adjustment socks help by keeping feet and toes mobile, flexible, and therefore less painful.
Children's adjustment socks are made of fine cotton with a mixture of polyester and elastane. They have a looser hem and an open front with four toe separators made from the same material as the full socks. These separators apply gentle pressure to the toes to align the toes with the foot. The separators are made by hand and their production is strictly controlled, because to achieve the maximum effect of the socks it is very important to observe their correct length and width.
Adjustment socks relieve stress and tension in the feet, help align the toes correctly, reduce friction and irritation, relieve foot pain, improve blood circulation, and give the feet and toes new energy.
When children wear socks, start very slowly, always under the supervision of an adult and pay attention to the attached instructions :
Start with the toe separators at the tips of the toes, the stitched feet always facing each other
(approximately 5-10 minutes per day).
After a few days of wearing the socks, move the separators to the middle of the toes, gradually increase the wearing time
(approximately 30-60 minutes per day).
After a few weeks you will be able to move the spacers completely between your fingers,
thereby achieving the maximum effect.
PLEASE NOTE that Adjustment socks are not intended for normal walking , they are fully effective in a relaxed position, when the legs are not under pressure - i.e. sitting or lying down.
We do not recommend children sleeping in socks!
