With Velcro fasteners on the sides, the boots are quick and easy to put on and take off. They're super lightweight and the sole of the Affenzahn boots are only as thick as they need to be. It is not cushioned so that children can feel and sense their surroundings and the surface.

There is a puzzle picture on the back to differentiate between the right and left shoes. The natural shape of the shoes offers plenty of room for each toe, so feet are not cramped and can develop in a healthy way. Thanks to a special AffenTex membrane, no moisture gets into the shoe, so feet stay dry.
