VIVOBAREFOOT shoes from the Soul of Africa collection are made in Ethiopia from local sources and local employees, mostly from the ranks of single mothers and families affected by AIDS. Part of the proceeds from each shoe sold goes back to charitable projects in Africa, such as building schools and hospitals and supporting orphans whose parents have died of AIDS.
