Help where it's most needed with the VIVOBAREFOOT Soul of Africa collection
One wise man once said, “Give a man a fish and feed him for a day. Teach a person to fish and feed him for life. ”
This is also the philosophy of the Soul of Africa project, in which the VIVOBAREFOOT brand participates. It does not make sense for charity to just send the money that is needed, but it does not guarantee a long-term solution to problems in African countries, such as poverty and hunger.
Providing people with work that will feed them and help them create value is the main message of the Soul of Africa project. VIVOBAREFOOT shoes from the Soul of Africa collection are made in Ethiopia from local sources and local employees, mostly from the ranks of single mothers and families affected by AIDS. Part of the proceeds from each shoe sold goes back to charitable projects in Africa, such as building schools and hospitals and supporting orphans whose parents have died of AIDS.
